Descendents are one of our favorite bands. When Alec from Crucial Dudes told us they were contributing a song to a Descendents Tirbute compilation, and that there was a chance we could be on it, we jumped at the opportunity. Once we found out that Crudes were doing the song we wanted to do (haha) we decided upon our second favorite Descendents song, “Anchor Grill” off of their last record “Cool To Be You.” We recorded it in an attic/bedroom in Albany with Craig Dutra of Aficionado fame. Tony played drums on it because we were between drummers, and Craig played both guitar tracks because we were between guitar players. It will never live up to the original version, but I hope that it can be viewed for what it is: a loving tribute.
